Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to play the quarter final home leg in the new Spurs stadium. He is hoping the ground will be ready to welcome whoever they get in the draw. This comes after a fantastic performance in both legs against Borussia Dortmund.
Spurs arrived in Germany with a three goal lead and after a first half onslaught from Dortmund they didn’t have a shot on target in the second half. Hugo Lloris, in his 100th clean sheet for Spurs, made some marvelous saves. Harry Kane was the man of the moment again when he was put through by a pass from Sanchez. From the edge of the area he blasted the ball to the top right corner in what can only be described as a world class finish.
Spurs saw out the rest of the game in a controlled fashion to reach the quarter finals. The draw will be made on the 15th March with the games played in mid April.
